SIKS course: What does Generative AI mean for data, information, and knowledge systems research?

INTRODUCTION

SIKS continues the series on Data Science Tutorials on 30 September and 1 October this year on the theme of “What does Generative AI mean for data, information, and knowledge systems research?”, in person in Vught.  Confirmed lecturers include Asterios Katsifodimos (TU Delft), Mel Chekol (Utrecht University), Paul Groth (UvA), and Yannis Velegrakis (Utrecht University) with additional lecturers to be announced on the themes of interaction and society.  SIKS PhD students are invited to participate in this tutorial to learn about the state of the art from SIKS experts and to network with colleagues from across the Netherlands.  Participants will also have an opportunity to present their work and receive feedback from the lecturers.

Monday 30 September

  • 9.15 doors open
  • 10.00-17.15 tutorials, with breaks for coffee and lunch
  • 18.00 dinner for all – those not staying at the hotel are welcome to stay for dinner as well

Tuesday 1 October

  • 8.30 – 16.45 tutorials, with breaks for coffee and lunch
